Orchestra takes honors at Music in the Parks!

Congratulations to the Heritage Orchestras!! They participated in the Music in the Parks festival at Cedar Point last weekend. The orchestras received first place in their division, and best orchestra overall. In addition, they received the highest score among all middle school orchestras and bands that weekend. Way to represent The Heritage!!

Cedar Point T-Shirt Design Winners!

Congrats to Toni Morris and Mackenzie Mobley for winning the HMSO T-Shirt design contest!

Toni’s design features our mascot, the panther, in front of a roller coaster.

Mackenzie’s design features very cool lettering, signed be all 49 students attending the trip!

This trip will be LOTS of fun!!

Orchestras Earn Superiors!

Congratulations to the Heritage Concert and Cadet Orchestras for receiving superior ratings at the Central Ohio String Invitational this past Saturday at Hastings Middle School in Upper Arlington. Both orchestras were given comments and a rating by three judges and received the top honor.

Also, congratulations to Cassie Howard and Shannon See for receiving superior ratings at the Ohio Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble adjudicated event at Dublin Jerome High School. You represented our orchestra program in an exemplary way!

Pies will be delivered tomorrow (Wednesday, April 4) and must be picked up after school.  Mr. Laux will be in the orchestra room until about 5:30 PM.
